A Day in the Life of our interns  

Meet our interns! These fresh faces at FTI bring creativity, hard work, and a whole lot of enthusiasm. They're here to learn, collaborate, and make an impact. Get to know Aman Singh, Hamed Mahdavi Far, Hasan Latch, and Nicolas Lorenzo from the Applied Computer Science course at Karel de Grote Hogeschool in Antwerp.

They kick off their mornings early, rising between 6 and 7 AM. For Aman, it’s the calm of the early hours that gets him ready for the day. Hasan, on the other hand, gets the day running with a shower, breakfast, and a motorcycle ride to the office. As for Nicolas and Hamed, they're already dreaming about that first cup of coffee they’ll grab as soon as they step into the Meet District. Coffee really is the fuel that keeps them all going. 

 

Once the caffeine is doing its magic, the interns gather for their daily stand-up, share updates on their projects, and dive into the day’s tasks. Aman begins by filling his water bottle and checking his emails, Hasan is focused on the Data Orchestrator, while Nicolas and Hamed dive straight into their work on the IDSA connector. They’re working hard to make sure data is shared safely between companies, with no compromise to ownership. No big deal, just solving the future of secure data exchange! 

 

What sets FTI apart from school? For these interns, it’s all about the professional environment and the freedom to take ownership of their tasks. They love the flexibility: taking breaks when needed and managing their time. And let’s be real, that’s a total upgrade from school, where walking out for a break is usually not an option.

Of course, no internship is without challenges. For Aman, it’s mastering new technologies at lightning speed, but he loves every minute of it. Hasan and Hamed are working on a complex project with sensitive data, which keeps them on their toes. Meanwhile, Nicolas is balancing his internship with a part-time job. But hey, multitasking is his superpower, right? 

 

The best part of their internship? Aman enjoys the relaxed yet friendly vibe at FTI, where the team communicates like they’ve been working together for years. Hasan appreciates the blend of freedom and support he gets from his colleagues, while Nicolas and Hamed are all about the combination of independence, fast feedback, and feeling welcome.  

 

With only 2 weeks to go, the interns are already FTI ambassadors. “FTI is a place where you can grow, learn, and flex your creativity,” says Aman. The rest agree, adding that it's a place where you can work on exciting projects with a team that truly values collaboration and innovation, with impactful projects as a bonus. 

 

When the day wraps-up, the interns finish their tasks and prep for the next day. Aman checks his progress and plans for tomorrow. Hasan enjoys some downtime in the park before heading home to relax. Nicolas and Hamed discuss what they’ve accomplished, ensuring they’re ready to hit the ground running the next day.
